Marketing Internship
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Dates of Position: Early June – Mid August (flexible)
Compensation: $2000 stipend + exciting experience of helping to build the Eulie brand
Overview:
Eulie, an up-and-coming intimate apparel company, is developing a line of chic, functional underwear called Sexy Period. Made from fabric that is leak resistant and breathable, the line allows women to wear fancy underwear without worrying about spills (no more period disasters!). The company is currently wrapping up product development and will be focusing this summer on plans to launch sales in early 2011. There is an exciting opportunity for an intern to join the Eulie team this summer in a creative start-up environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Buyer Packet – Help develop copy for packet that will be shown to prospective buyers
- Public Relations – Write copy for press kit that will be sent to editors, Research and recommend optimal publications for Eulie to be featured
- Website – Write copy for website, Contribute ideas for website components, Help create video or illustration to communicate product features to customers
- Social Media Presence – Brainstorm creative opportunities to generate viral marketing using Facebook, Twitter, and blog, Write copy for Eulie comics featuring underwear characters, Organize email list for Eulie’s newsletter “The Periodical”
- Responsibilities also include drop off/pick up fabric and garment components, mail packages, assist with pre-production product development, and enter receipts into accounting system.
- Various other task assignments as they arise
- Flexible availability is a must. May require occasional evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of college is required. Ideal candidate:
- has ability to write in a witty, humorous tone
- is reliable and organized
- has reliable transportation
- has sewing experience (would be great but not required)
- is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop (a plus but not required)
