This spring we searched everywhere to find the right gal (or guy) to intern with us this summer. Caitlin won us over with her hilarious writing sample and delightful personality. She is a rising junior at Brown, plays field hockey, and is trying to decide between a career in marketing or law. We’re pulling for marketing, but only time will tell. Be on the lookout later in the summer for website updates and maybe even a couple blog entries from her. Welcome to the team, Caitlin!
StyleWeek Providence was last week and I jumped at the chance to attend. Thanks to all the designers and sponsors for their role in enriching the RI fashion scene. It’s great to be in a city that celebrates innovative designers. On Thursday I went with my girls Kristin and Laurel. Our red carpet pose:
Loved this yellow silk taffeta dress by Nirva. The picture quality isn’t great, but you can see the bottom hem is silk velvet. I met designer Nirva Derbekyan at the after party and she is super sweet.

The second show on Friday was by Maya Luz who was a contestant on the last season of Project Runway. Her show was titled “Creature” and featured animal inspired materials such as this fur collar:
We’re at it again, mailing tons of test panties this month out to our lucky volunteers to see which fabric is working best! We’ve got it narrowed down to three combos, and now it’s time to find out for sure which one is the winner.
